Regular Verbs


In regular Verbs the ending "ed" or "d" is added to the verb according to the characteristics of the Verbs.

For example, the verb "play" is added "ed" so it would be like this: played

 But, the verbs with ending "e" only add "d", For example:
Arrive - Arrived 

 When a verb ends with "y" the "y" is changed to "i" and "ed" is added. For example: Cry - Cried

ADJETIVE COMPARATIVES: The comparative adjectives are adjectives that are usted to Make a comparison between two nouns. For example: -The Blue shirt is better that the green shirt. Adjectives are added an "er" at the end to form the comparative. For example: -Young - younger Some adjectives that end in a consonant duplicate the final consonant to form the comparative. Regular verbs  To form the simple past of regular verbs in English, we most add "ed" or "r" to the basic form of the verb.
